Uniting Church in the City
Working to touch and transform the lives of people who live, work, play and worship in the City of Perth
At Trinity we're always busy discerning God's will for our lives and how to be the hands and feet of Jesus in Perth.
Some new initiatives:
An Afrikaans library for immigrants.
A Mother's Room with air con and plasma TV's for mum's to truly feel part of worship whilst maybe needing to nurse an infant or keep an eye on toddlers at play.
Children's focussed worship. Four times a year the message and style is so child friendly that "even the adults get it all!" someone said recently (next one on 6 November).
Recently we also had a number of special series of messages: "a Series on the Book of Jonah at Trinity" This was an in depth look at the message of Jonah for our time. And another on "David, the Psalmist". We've had music events on Good Friday (22 April) Vivaldi's Stabat Mater and Trumpet on Easter Sunday (24 April). The next big music event will be:
"Watch what happens!" Jazz Worship with the Jangoo Chapkhana Trio on 13 November
72 St George’s Terrace, Perth

Serving the People of Perth
At Trinity we did an extensive core values exercise which changed our ministry!
We discovered that we wanted to exercise our gifts and calling in new ways in addition to strengths we believe we already had. (See our 5 circle core value diagram below)
Now we focus a lot of our energy on three of areas that fit well with these core values:
1. Our Afrikaans Ministry aims to help Afrikaans speaking immigrants integrate into society and find a spiritual home. This ministry is growing quickly and has has already produced new ministry intiatives and leadership from our "newcomers"!
2. Music is a major focus of worship at Trinity Uniting Church and the publication of our annual Music Programme is always eagerly anticipated. In addition to top quality music every Sunday throughout the year, a series of approximately seven major musical events take place at Trinity every year and feature the cream of Western Australian singers and instrumentalists.
