About Trinity School for Seniors
Trinity School for Seniors is an outreach mission of the Uniting Church in the City, committed to helping older adults to participate in lifelong learning and to have friendship and companionship on this journey. TSFS endeavours to achieve a balance between educational programs, social activities, peer learning opportunities and a holistic attitude towards wellness.
History of the School
The School was started in 1979 at Trinity and it is testament to the success of the School that there are some students who are still members and continue to attend regularly.
The School Today
TSFS provides over 80 courses for around 400 attendees over five days during a term. Whether a new School member or a returning member, we encourage you to 'have a go' and try a variety of the many courses which are on offer.
Companionship through Learning
TSFS will achieve a balance between educational programs, social activities, peer learning opportunities and a holistic attitude towards wellness.
- To provide learning opportunities for seniors
- To ensure that the school functions as a caring community
- To facilitate personal development and self-esteem of each member
- To stimulate a sense of collective responsibility
- To value and respect our volunteers
Trinity School for Seniors seek to support retirees and older adults (must be over 60 years) - in particular those who would like to meet new people and learn new things. Students can attend from any suburb in Perth, provided they can make their own way to the school.
Access to classrooms may inhibit some individuals. If you have any mobility concerns, please contact Reception to discuss further or arrange a tour of our facilities.
The Student Charter helps students of Trinity School for Seniors to understand what it means to be a student at TSFS.
Please view our Student Charter page for further information.
